I’m not sure what there is to say about this, but having one of my all time favourite L L Cool J tunes (mama said knock you out) from one of my favourite underrated movies (The Hard Way) , juxtaposed to fluffy little penguins acting all gangster is making me laugh. Although I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to hear that song again without seeing penguins! But seriously I can’t say this trailer gives us anymore of an idea what this films reason to exist is at all. Animated Penguins looking cute and singing and dancig, again? But hey it worked once right?
The first Happy Feet was directed by George Miller (Mad Max, The Witches of Eastwick, Babe 2) and featured the voices of Hugh Jackman, Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Nicole Kidman and Robin Williams, amongst others. It took Christmas 2006 by storm earning $1998m in North America and $384m worldwide. This time the returning Williams and Wood are joined by Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Sofia Vergara (Modern Family) and Pink. It is also in 3D, which at the moment seems to be the only selling point different fro the first film. Maybe there will be a third trailer telling us exactly why this film deserves the price of admission, but then again cute and cuddly singing penguins may be all they need.

The film is directed by George Miller, who won an Oscar as the creator of the original film "Happy Feet." Miller also co-wrote with Gary Eck, Warren Coleman and Paul Livingston.”
