When he’s on form Soderbergh (Traffic, Ocean’s 11) is definitely one of the best around at narrative filmmaking. This film has a very strong cast, Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow andKate Winslet, as well as an obviously talented director and a quality writer in Scott Z. Burns (The Bourne Ultimatum) there has to be hope that this film could be a serious, quality take on a genre that has’t necessarily received the quality of film it could have.
