The ill fated film managed to take $52.7m at the North American box office despite some most reviews tearing the film to shreds. Even the more positive ones seemed to suggest it was more a case of it it’ll do and it could have been worse, rather than actual praise.
The film also had soft openings in the UK ($1.2m on Friday) and the other 16 territories it opened in. More detail on the rest of the world, including Pirates of The Caribbean being the 4th highest grossing international film of all time! (How, for the love of Mike it’s terrible?!)
