3D Wimledon matches are to screen in several countries; on TV and in Cinemas.

Sony confirm Six broadcasters and more than 170 screens are confirmed in a total of 22 countries and regions.

The Sony Corporation (“Sony”)  announced that several major broadcasters and cinema chains will broadcast and screen their 3D production of the Wimbledon men’s semi-finals & men’s final and the women’s final. Sony has an official supplier partnership with The All England Lawn Tennis Club to produce the final matches of This year’s tournament (the 125th) in 3D. Sony’s Press Statement says:-

“Sony aims to deliver the exhilaration and excitement of the world’s premier tennis championships - with unprecedented depth and realism - to viewers worldwide.”

3D TV Broadcasts: In at least six countries.
As of June 20, 2011, six broadcasters (from the UK, US, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and Sweden) have confirmed that they will be airing live 3D broadcasts of the available matches.
Cinema Screenings: Live, public, 3D screenings will take place in at least 22 countries and regions.
3D screenings of live events, such as Opera, Ballet and Royal Shakespeare Performances are becoming increasingly popular at cinemas around the globe. Keeping the momentum of these events going several cinemas will screen these Wimbledon matches as well. As of June 20, 2011, more than 170 screens in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Norway, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Austria, US, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay (a total of 22 countries and regions) have been confirmed for the 3D screenings.

Sony states that negotiations are ongoing with broadcasters and cinema around the world, so the number of countries and theatres is likely to increase.

Sony has also launched a website providing information on the 3D broadcasts and screenings.
