Green Lantern continues clip overload trend! 8 (EIGHT!!!) clips here.

The Green Lantern movie has been fighting negative publicity ever since the ill advised decision to release early, comedy heavy and finished effects light, trailer last Autumn. That trailer actually seemed to put more people off the film than it attracted to it and was still receiving unintended laughs, especially for the terrible, genital absent Ken doll painted green costume reveal at the end. Here’s an extended clip of a scene that never went down too well the first time, “let’s get these pants off and fly some planes.”

But fear not, apparently the film itself is receiving positive buzz from regular moviegoers after its first preview screenings. The effects were finally finished sometime last week and the result may be much better than recent trailers would have us believe. Of course it remains to be seen if this is all true, but as both of the summer’s 4 Super hero movies (4 is apparently a glut now) to be released so far have been good and crowd pleasing it would be good if Green Lantern defied the initial negativity, as has X-Men: First Class and continues the trend, started by Thor, of good, fun Super hero movies.

Here are the other 5, courtesy of Hitfix...

This is the extended version of what was my favourite scene in all of the Wondercon footage. I love the whole mind control / telepathy or whatever it is. Also the oath is geek cool and I love the eyes.

This is extended clip of the actual test flight referred to above...

Mark Strongs oft viewed “We are The Corps” speech, extended.

First contact...

This final clip would appear to belong to the “Too much information” class of trailer we’ve been inundated with recently. (like the many X-Men:First Class clips from the last 10 minutes of the movie!
 Ye be fair warned!

Well there you have it. Just a little over one week until you get to see for yourselves.
