Now let’s be honest here. The Three Musketeers is basically a big, dumb pilot movie. It’s essentially a set up for the second film and it does suffer for that. Never as deep as it needs to be, never quite explaining any of its many, very interesting scenarios: it mostly just gets a pretty much perfect cast into some very well filmed action sequences and setting up their motivations for a bigger deeper sequel. As such it isn’t as much fun as it should be, but I’ll be honest, there’s not a person I’ve discussed it with who doesn’t want to see that sequel. Sure it may have a lot to do with the film’s ending. This film is too  dependent on box office success to be able to go all James Bond or Marvel Studios with a “The Three Musketeers will Return in: ,Musketeers in Space!’”, But, without spoiling it, I can simply say that it’s more like they’ve shown us the opening scene of the 2nd film than the ending of this one! Speaking of which, I’ve also included the HD video of the first 5 minutes of the film. Aint I good to you?  Don’t answer that.

“Based on Alexandre Dumas' classic novel comes a big-screen action adventure update of The Three Musketeers, conceived and shot in state-of-the-art 3D. They are known as Porthos, Athos, and Aramis--three elite warriors who serve the King of France as his best Musketeers. After discovering an evil conspiracy to overthrow the King, the Musketeers come across a young, aspiring hero -- D'Artagnan -- and take him under their wing. Together, the four embark on a dangerous mission to foil the plot that not only threatens the Crown, but the future of Europe itself.”

Paul W . S. Anderson & Mila Jovovich have been making money at the international box office as shown below. (Anderson wrote all 5 Resident Evil films and directed the 1st & 4th; and is currently directing the 5th instalment with a 6th being considered.)
