Well ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ is a slightly better than Die
Hard 2: Die Harder, but if I’m totally honest it’s an uninspiring title
following a frankly uninspiring choice of director in John Moore. Moore’s track
record includes Behind Enemy Lines, remakes Flight of the Phoenix and The Omen as
well as the pretty mediocre Max Payne; it doesn’t inspire the greatest of
confidence. Still this could be his big chance to show that he’s more talented
than the films he has had to work with might suggest. Still it was a bit of a
downer after names such as Justin Lin (Fast 5), Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive,
Bronson) and Joe Cornish (Attack the
Block) were apparently in the mix..
Joe Cornish joins shortlist of directors for Die Hard 5.
Is anyone planning a romantic evening watching Die Hard 1 –
4, followed by a late night trip to the movies for ‘A Good Day to Die Hard on
Valentine’s day? No?
