Chloë Moretz (Kick Ass, Hugo, Dark Shadows) is one of the
finest young actresses around – well ever. So her presence alone is enough to
make this new adaptation of Stephen King’s Carrie worth a look. Director
Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don’t Cry, Stop Loss) was only 9 the year Brian De Palma’s
version of the classic novel was released (1976), so there is certainly a large
audience out there with little or no knowledge of the other film.
