Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Clips and interviews for a film that “has to be better than the other one” right?

Well Ghost Rider: (“It’s not a sequel”) Spirit of Vengeance is upon us now.  There will be those who enjoyed the first film, but for most it was a disappointment. Despite that the film still managed to pull in $228m, displaying both the popularity of the character and that there were enough people out there looking for a dark super hero to watch.
Cage, Elba and Johnny Whitworth...

Synopsis...

“Former stuntman and bounty hunter of rogue demons Johnny Blaze has been living in self-imposed exile, believing that his powers are a curse. But when he is approached by a member of a monastic order who is looking for someone to protect a mother and her son, who are being pursued by the devil in the figure of a man named Roarke, the Ghost Rider takes the case.”

Idris Elba makes an offer...

Will this film be better than the first one? Well it certainly looks better; the Rider itself looks a lot edgier, scarier and “realistic”. The behind the scenes footage (see below) certainly raises expectations that there will be some creatively staged action scenes, that the film’s kinetic moments should pop and definitely surpass the rather average equivalents in the previous film. The plot? I guess we’ll see tomorrow.
