According to Deadline, Morgan Freeman has been added to the
cast of the post-apocalyptic film, Oblivion. It is being directed by Joseph Kosinski (Tron Legacy) and so fars has
cast Tom Cruise, Andrea Riseborough (Made in Dagenham, W.E) and Olga Kurylenko
(Quantum of Solace). Cruise will play a man who remains on the barely
inhabitable Earth (Wall*E style) to maintain ships that seek and destroy a hostile
alien species.

The film is based upon an original work by comic book writer
Arvid Nelson (Rex Mundi, Zero Killer)
and Joseph Kosinski; William Monahan (Edge of Darkness (2010), The Departed)
has also worked on the screenplay. Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, Little Miss
Sunshine) is apparently putting the finishing touches to the script.
