According to Variety Sir Ben Kingsley is in final talks to join
Marvel Studios Iron Man 3. Rumours persist that events in The Avengers lead to
/ set up the plot thread of Warren Ellis' "Extremis" story. That
story sees Toy Stark essentially become a “powered” super-hero as opposed to “jut”
a guy with a super suit. Iron Man 3 is due out in Marvel Studios traditional beginning
of May / end of April slot next year. Robert
Downey Jr. Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Scarlett Johansson are all set to
return. The Iron Man films have been very successful and are responsible for Downey Jnr.. finally becoming the A-List star he was always hoped / expected to be. With the second film selling more tickets internationally (and making more money on DVD & Blu-Ray) Marvel Studios will be hoping the third part can make a bigger jump in box office dollars too.
