This film looks as weird as it sounds, but it really does
look like a potential gem. One of the best things about Pegg is that despite
being n mega-hits lie Star Trek, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol &
Tintin; and his own little club of mini-hits with Nick Frost, he still makes these low budget movies too.
This film was the first film to benefit from the Pinewood film fund (ClickHere).
“Simon Pegg plays Jack, a children’s author turned crime
novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has
turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being
murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line
by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden
and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his ‘big break’ rapidly
turns into his ‘big breakdown’, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons;
among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear. A Fantastic
Fear of Everything also stars Amara Karan (The Darjeeling Limited), Clare
Higgins (Hellraiser), Sheridan Smith (Hysteria) and introduces Alan Drake.”
