Prometheus: Clip has Charlize Theron discussing her character’s part in the Sci-Fi thriller which hits cinemas around the world next week...

Charlize Theron (you know the really ugly one!) is in that rare position of competing against herself. It seems like she’ll be playing two very different control freaks though. At this stage it is anyone’s guess which of her two, highly anticipated summer movies will earn more money, or be better. Experience suggest that Sir Ridley Scott’s Prometheus should be the quality winner, not because of any perceived lack of quality about Snow White And The Huntsman (where Theron stars as Ravena, the evil Queen) but because British legend of Advertisements and movies, Sir Ridley Scott has been making some of the best films around since the late 1970s; whereas other British legend of Advertisements ‘Ordinary bloke’ Rupert Sanders is on his first movie. Both films rely as much as possible on “real” practical work and giant sets and in both films Theron plays a character we are probably not going to like a hell of a lot. However, in Prometheus, that does not mean that her character isn’t trying to do the right thing.

Synopsis...
