I will get around to putting up a review of Titanic 3D. In
short I will say that the quality of the 3D, in this lovingly converted film,
is better than most “shot in 3D” films I’ve seen.
Here’s a look at what you can expect when the film that
stood on top of Hollywood’s biggest grosser list (Hollywood doesn’t do adjusted
figures so no whining about that please / plus even with adjusting the global
total for the film is very, very big indeed). It’ll get bigger in April too;
one of the people I attended a preview with suggested that with a massive
number of people yet to see the film as all, and it having aged extremely well,
the film could be one of the top grosser of the year. She may have overestimated
things a little, but “top” film magazine Empire has Titanic 3D at number 17 in
their predictions for the top 20 summer ‘blockbusters’. (They guess it will take
in $230m)
