OK since his dad ate all of his brothers and sisters as soon
as they were born, and Hades tried to “take over the universe” in Clash of The
Titans (2010) he should already know that blood is thinner than really thin
stuff, stretched even thinner; but still, Et Tu Hades?
On My Terms...
By all accounts Wrath of The Titans promises to be much
better than the abysmal (to me, I know plenty of you liked it) Clash of The
Titans remake from 2 years ago. In one respect it certainly is. The 3D is
native this time, not an imbecilic, last minute conversion like last time. That
piss poor effort is made all the worse b the fact that WB turned down the
director’s (Louis Leterrier) request to shoot the film in 3D in the first
place! But then that was BEFORE Avatar and the film came out AFTER Avatar. (See
my SYFY channel article on the mate here...
The Avatar Effect - 3D for the Masses
Here is a pretty cool behind the scenes featurette on the
creating of the Chimera, a pretty nasty beasty indeed.
The Chimera...
Synopsis...
“A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken,
Perseus—the demigod son of Zeus—is attempting to live a quieter life as a
village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius.
Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans.
Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing
control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of
the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had
overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy
abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.
Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus' godly son,
Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture
Zeus. The Titans' strength grows stronger as Zeus' remaining godly powers are
siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior
Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon's demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell),
and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a
treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and
save mankind.”
